Cultivating a sustainable workforce

The Challenge: Design a comprehensive well-being strategic plan for all physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in alignment with overall organizational strategy.

My Approach: Bring together an interdisciplinary team of health care leaders to map out current state needs and opportunities, as well as future state needs with an eye toward changing workforce demographics and internal restructuring and resource constraints.

Align overarching strategies with national best practices and enterprise strategic plan, while tailoring tactics to address regional and local considerations.

The Outcome: Developed resource-effective strategic plan with 94% of 1-2-year tactics implemented in first year (2023).

Physician and APP experience and retention significantly increased from baseline Q4 2022 measures to Q4 2023.
